Saddle Brook High School and Bogota High School came together to field an amazing baseball team with star players from both schools.
Jonathan Dempsey looks to continue his baseball career at Atlantic Cape and John Hacker will be bringing his strong arm to Marist College and their Division I team.
Saddle Brook’s 2021 baseball season has officially come to an end. The co-op team came together nicely and fielded a formidable squad that was led by coaches Tim Sheldon and Daniel Limone. Even though the pandemic procured a pickle at times, the team persevered and found success throughout the spring. They qualified for the North 1, Group 2 state tournament, but lost a heartbreaker to the Mahwah Thunderbirds, 5-4.
The Falcons finished the season 11-7, and went 8-5 in the NJIC Patriot Division. They were led by standout seniors, John Hacker, Jonathan Parra and Johnathan Dempsey. It will be interesting to see how this co-op team develops, and if this partnership will become the regular after this winning season.
