Dear Falcons,
Walk the hallways of Saddle Brook High School and you’ll hear it immediately. Music is everywhere. That’s no accident. Under the leadership of Malcolm Couden and Frank Ortega, the Saddle Brook music department has become one of the most accomplished and consistently successful programs in the school.
Year in and year out, these two educators propel students to the highest levels of achievement, with performers regularly earning spots in All-County and All-State bands and choirs, along with countless other honors. Their dedication, high standards, and genuine passion for music create an environment where talent is nurtured, confidence is built, and students are pushed to reach far beyond what they thought possible.
This special edition of the Falcon Flyer is dedicated to the staff and students of the Saddle Brook High School music department. The singers and musicians whose hard work, creativity, and commitment fill our hallways with sound and make this program something truly special. From rehearsal rooms to concert stages, their talent and drive are the heartbeat of the department.
