Endearing Connections
As the last leaves of Autumn fall and we bid adieu to Fall, so must we say goodbye to this year’s NJMEA Mixed Chorus All-State Choir. This year, we’ve had over 12 people successfully audition for All-State. For Mixed Choir, a choir composed of both men and women, students: Alex Tanaka, Rachel Rosales, Olvia Gabbeneli, and Tayah Owens successfully auditioned and were selected for placement within the chorus. For the Treble choir, a female exclusive ensemble, Jayla Pierre, Vidda Del Orbe, Amelia Sokol, Victoria Billack and Bexx Sapinski made it into the choir.
The Mixed Chorus choir performed alongside the All-State Orchestra performed last week at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on Friday November 9th. This event, which showcased both groups, was the culmination of an intensive series of rehearsals. For three days, the singers honed their performance at the Boardwalk Hall, practicing a variety of amazing songs during the days spent there.
