The Saddle Brook Falcons cross country team, under the guidance of Coach Ed
Ciccone, capped off a remarkable season with notable achievements in the New
Jersey Interscholastic Conference (NJIC) meets. The highlight of the season came
when the girls secured an impressive 3rd place, while the boys demonstrated their
prowess with a solid 6th place finish.
In the third NJIC meet, the girls' team showcased their determination and skill, with
Brianna Reyes leading the charge by claiming 9th place with an impressive time of
22:39.00. Helin Kayar followed closely, securing the 15th spot with a time of 23:15.00,
and Olivia Poskrobko made her mark by finishing 20th in 23:54.00.
The boys' team equally impressed in the NJIC meet, with Devin Thomas crossing the
finish line in 19:29.00, earning him a commendable 9th place. Ethan Gaboury
displayed his strength, securing the 14th spot with a time of 19:15.00, while Dani
Mahouk claimed the 20th position, clocking in at 20:28.00.
As the season progressed to the NJSIAA Sectional Meet, Brianna Reyes once again
showcased her speed, claiming the title of the fastest Saddle Brook girl with an
impressive time of 24:12.00. On the boys' side, Devin Thomas maintained his
impressive form, clocking in at 19:29.00 to earn the title of the fastest Saddle Brook
boy in the sectional meet.
