BAND TAKES CENTER STAGE AT FESTIVAL
By The Falcon Flyer Staff
The rhythmic beats and melodic harmonies of the Saddle Brook Marching Band echoed
through the crisp autumn air, leaving an indelible mark on both football game
enthusiasts and music aficionados alike. Under the baton of Director Frank Ortega and
the skilled guidance of drum majors Christian Lindberg, Patrick Kohrherr and Antonella
Arellano the Saddle Brook Marching Band has proven once again why they stand out as a
musical force to be reckoned with.
The marching band's captivating performances weren't confined to the sidelines of
football fields; they took center stage as the headlining act at the prestigious North
Jersey Band Festival in Clifton on October 29th. The festival, now in its 76th year,
gathered some of the most talented high school marching bands from the region, but it
was the Saddle Brook Marching Band that had the honor of closing the night as the finale
band.
Frank Ortega, with his unwavering dedication and musical prowess, has led the band to
new heights, infusing each performance with a unique blend of precision and passion.
Under his leadership, the Saddle Brook Marching Band has become a source of pride for
the school and the community.
A standout moment for the band came during the North Jersey Band Festival, where they
took the stage as the grand finale. The band's intricate formations, energetic
choreography, and seamless musical transitions wowed the audience, earning them
thunderous applause and standing ovations.
