CROSS COUNTRY CRUISES
The 2022 Cross Country team worked hard and steadily progressed over the course of the season. The team ran 25-50 miles a week to build up strength and endurance to prepare for the season. Coach Ciccone has the team doing everything from 10 mile runs to hill days. One of the team Captains, Nicholas Suero, had this to say about the team's progress: “Going into the season the expectations were low, however the team worked their hardest and I'm proud to say the boys did much better than expected; boys like Dani Mahouk and Patricio Correa showed a tremendous improvement with Dani dropping almost two full minutes in his 5k time. ”. The boy’s team had a strong season with an overall record of 5-3; taking 3rd place at league championships. The girl’s team had an extremely successful season with a record of 7-2. They took 3rd place at the League Championship and 5th place at State Sectionals.
