What are the strengths of the HS Band?
The strengths of the HS Band is that it touches on the significance of responsibility, dedication, and attentiveness since being in concert, jazz, marching band or any kind of ensemble requires all of those qualities to do successfully in such categories.
Describe your favorite band experience this year?
My favorite band experience this year was Senior Day which occurred on our last football game. Seeing the faces of many people who helped me arrive to where I am today was so inspiring and it really tapped into my past and how hard all of the seniors, including myself, have worked so hard to get to where we are at this current moment.
How did the Band Festival go? The Band Festival was a great experience and always has been out of all of the years I’ve been in marching band for. Roughly 20 bands attended the performance, ranging in size, one having just a little over ten members, and some reaching numbers of 60-150 members. It’s always a fascinating experience seeing the different themes and shows all of the marching bands have practiced and performed at this event and the most eventful part is the end of the festival where all 20 or so bands get together as one and play “America the Beautiful” as a massed band. This, I think, is the most wholesome part of the festival and just shows how so many different bands from so many different towns and counties can come together as one and play music beautifully.
