The Saddle Brook Girls Tennis Team recently finished their season with a record of 8-8. Led by their head coach, Coach Militello, and new assistant coach, Coach Giorgio, the team has continued to build not only their strength and tennis techniques, but their communication and teamwork skills as well. The varsity team consisted of Stephanie McNamara, Emma Lee, Kaitlyn Mendez, Alishba Khan, Amira Souda, Olivia Laszcz, Ashely Severino, Jadaline DeJesus, and Sema Sawalha.
The team continuously practiced together throughout the summer to ensure their success during the tennis season. Since June, the girls have met several times per week to work on their conditioning, running endurance, strength training, and tennis skills. Through their training, they were able to maximize their performance and minimize the risk of injuries. Even when they were not practicing on the tennis courts, the team spent a lot of time together to ensure they would have a successful season.
