To ensure the success of this project, a recycling bin has been planted in every classroom in hopes of maximizing paper collection. Every Wednesday, teachers are required to place the bin outside their room so that it can be gathered by either the Environmental Club or Science National Honors Society. Both organizations
alternate each week to assemble the paper materials in a larger container for eventual transportation to a recycling plant. Implementing this project has empowered the student body to be more attentive as well as educated on the simple actions they can take to help the current environmental conflict pervading the world.
Initiating the recycling program has greatly inspired both organizations to continue to promote the importance of diminishing our ecological footprints. The Environmental Club is particularly proud of aiding the school adopt more environmentally friendly habits and embracing a more sustainable lifestyle.
