Meet Your Teacher

Interview With Mrs. Jennings

by Maahwish Mohammad

1)What do you like most about teaching music?

Seeing students get really excited when they’ve learned a song.

2)If you could change anything in the world, what would it be?

I wish that everyone would be more polite and kind to each other.

3)What made you want to be a music teacher?

At first, I just wanted to be a teacher. I liked learning new things, helping others, and working with children.

4)Who’s your inspiration? Why are you inspired by this person?

My inspiration is other teachers in the school. I am inspired by their creativity, their kindness, and how much they care for their students.

5)What is Your Favourite instrument? Why do you choose this instrument over the others?

My favourite instrument is the cello. I like it because of the low tones, but I still don’t know how to play it.

6)Did you want to be a teacher as a child?

Yes. I used to pretend a black binder was my blackboard and I used to give my brother tests.

7)Any words of wisdom that you want to give to all the students at Fletcher’s?

My father used to tell me, “If there is a will, there is a way"
