SKINCARE ROUTINE Every Home Should Have One If you ask the average people on the street if they wash their faces daily, beyond the creepy-eyed look, the answer is a resounding “yes”. Some people are blessed with the genes of NOT having to stick to a consistent skin care routine or using very simple products. For others, the bathroom cabinets are over run with products that “worked at some point”. Anyone can wash a face, but not everyone has a good skin care regimen. A skin care regimen is an adopted routine that can be easily executed day and night on a daily basis. It should never be complicated or considered a chore. It should be as easy as brushing your teeth. In fact, do it while brushing your teeth (Thank me later). Homecare is 80% of your skin care partnership while your bestie esthy (short for esthetician) is the other 20%. So, here are some products that could be listed in your homecare skin regimen. At most, you need a cleanser, toner, moisturizer and sunscreen, but there are a few added “goodies” that can definitely boost your skin’s appearance. CLEANSER: The most important part to any skin care routine is cleansing. A cleanser is used to remove make-up, dead skin cells, and other impurities from the skin. Cleansers can be skin-type specific (dry, combination, oily, foamy and nonfoamy). By: Licensed Faces Photo Credit: Eric by Aundra A.
