That was a key point in my life because I feel like had I stayed, there would not be an Africa Fashion
Week or boutique or any of the wonderful things I have now. There have been times when my life
was on the line…when there was a matter of moments before my life would be gone. I was able to
move through that and still be able to walk in faith and walk in my power. I know that’s nothing but
the Creator and our ancestors and elders holding me down. It was my defining moment that had to
happen and because of that I was able to grow and go forward.
Proving sometimes you have to give up the throne wear the crown.
