When I watch the news or read the
paper and witness all of the world
events that are happening, I’m
convinced there are more people
GOD is calling to step out of their
comfort zones. The world is so
large with so many diverse issues
and everyone is looking for hope.
Faith Heart Magazine: How can
FHM readers donate time,
resources and support to I Can Fly
and the Butterfly Project in East
Africa?
Leadership for me has always been
an issue. Honestly I didn’t feel
worthy or qualified of the calling
for a long time. Yes, it’s a calling.
I was thrust into this position
without quite knowing what it
required. I was a lot like Moses.
I’m leading people out of slavery
but not sure how to successfully
get them to the Promised Land. All
I knew was I had to get them out
and leave the details to God. It’s
funny because as leaders we often
lead lots of people with issues and
the leaders most often have their
own set of inadequacies. I believe
that’s when the Lord can move
because a humble leader knows
she/he can reach the goal with
HIM.
My world-view has expanded to a
degree that baffles me sometimes.
Sha’ Givens: We are looking for
volunteers to help support our
girls’ initiative as well as donors
to sponsor children and our food
program on a regular basis. We
also encourage volunteers and
donors to visit Kenya and meet the
children at the I Can Fly School.
It’s a life changing experience.
Everyone has something to offer
whether small or large. We can all
play a part in the lives of these
children.
