Is That You, God? Or The Pizza? By Remaliah Evans I once heard someone say that God speaks to us in dreams because we don’t take the time to listen to Him during the day. There is some truth to this. I also believe that God speaks to us in dreams because dreams from God are not filtered by our biases, doubt, and unbelief. Yet, how do when God gives us a dream? How many times have we woken up from dreams, wondering if the dream was from God, or a side effect from the pizza? How can we know? Well, God knows us and He knows how to relate to us and communicate with us. As an office manager I was the liaison between the tenant and the property management company. My most difficult client was a type-A personality accountant named Al. Al came to me because he felt that the lights in his office were not bright enough. The property management company would only supply brighter light bulbs at his expense, and of course he did not want to pay for them. I didn’t blame him; the light bulbs were not cheap. Unfortunately for me, Al then contended that my company should pay for the lights, and of course my company declined. I prayed and because I had known Al for several years, I let him know that the best I could do was buy him a very nice looking lamp. He appreciated the effort however he was not impressed. I prayed some more. That night I went to bed and I dreamed that Al and I were in the office. Al gave me a polite kiss on the cheek and then he said, “it’s ok, Ralph took care of it.” I woke up the next day and I knew that God was telling me that He would take of the situation. Ralph was the CEO of my company, but when I prayed about the dream I knew God was telling me the He Himself was personally taking care of my problem. That day at work, Al comes to my office to return the lamp that I had given him and he says, “thank you for
