In an interview with Faith Filled
Family Magazine, Lenzy offered
a peak into this passion and the
powerful pages of Next.
Adonis, give us a quick summary about what your book,
Next, is all about.
It’s about helping people. I want
to reach out to people in all different walks of life. Maybe they had
a dream, but it didn’t work out.
They put it on the shelf. They’re
frozen, and don’t know what next
step to take. I’ve written to people in everyday life, giving them
some practical advice anyone
can take. My hope is for them to
read this book and be inspired to
pursue their dream.
Who will benefit most from
reading Next?
Anybody that is feeling stuck in
life. I come across a lot of people
who feel stuck, who have hit a
lid in life. They have reached a
place I call Settleville. This book
is for anybody that is having a
discouraged moment, who feels
a dream on the inside but just
doesn’t know what to do to start

page of your book?
I hope they are thinking, “I really
can do this. I can grab that dream
off the shelf. I can pick myself up
and dust myself off and I can live
the life I’ve imagined.”
How has your faith shaped
this book?
Being a pastor for over 20 years,
I’ve talked to a lot of people who
knew God had a big plan for their
life, but were waiting for God to
do everything. I wanted to put
some action to my faith. I knew
I had to partner with God. I trust
in God and faith keeps me going
because, if God put this desire
and plan in my heart, if I do my
part, it will happen.
What counsel do you have
for those who believe they
should simply pray about their
dreams or next steps and wait
for God to move to make them
happen?
God always requires us to move
and take a step of faith. You have
to take some action to do what
God is calling you to do. God
doesn’t hand you everything on
a silver platter. Take the dream
he has given you and pursue it.
Your faith means you will step
out and start doing things. You
have to partner with God. A lot
of people are just sitting around
thinking “as long as I have faith it
will happen.” But, the Bible says
faith without works is dead. You
have to work to make it happen
- with God.
What encouragement do you
have for those who have tried
to take steps to pursue a
dream and feel that they have
failed?
Number one is - It’s never too late
