PERSECUTED FOR HIS NAME ’ S SAKE

Isuppose we have all felt the strain in our lives of the chapters of the recent closing of one eight-year Democratic presidency to the opening a Republican administration . It has been a bit of a struggle for many people to understand . Concerns about education , immigration , appointments both old and new , as well as conflicting interests between Congressional members and the public grow every day . It appears the blame for the negativity and the rising steps against progressive thinking is falling across the “ Bless Our Home ” rugs that lay at the doorways of Christian followers . It ’ s true . It is the believers in Christ who are feeling the repercussions that have caused the continued turmoil from the November election . Not only did the election of a new President spark a debate between people of different racial and ethnic backgrounds , but parties , genders , and nationalities . Even more so is the growing rebellion against those who are of any religious affiliation .
Persecution of Godly followers is not new . What seems to confound people is the oppression for believers who “ others ” feel , aren ’ t standing up for those who do not believe . These “ others ” who have lived their days as non-believers ridiculing Christians for spreading God ’ s word , now feel mistreated . These Christians feel part of the vote-casting , silent , majority who chose the “ wrong ” candidate . The wounded have taken their anger and resentment to the streets as they “ assemble to protest ”; although , the media reports this as-
