forth fruit, and that your fruit
should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in
my name, he may give it you.
These things I command you,
that ye love one another. If the
world hate you, ye know that it
hated me before it hated you. If
ye were of the world, the world
would love his own: but because
ye are not of the world, but I have
chosen you out of the world,
therefore the world hateth you.”
John 15:16-19
Do you remember the definition
of an enemy? It is the evil adversary that we fight; he is the one
who comes to kill, still and destroy the lives of every believer;
the “chosen ones”. In this chapter of John, Jesus says to us that
we are chosen and ordained (our
place and position) by Him and
as such, we are commanded to
bear His fruit which is above all
others, to LOVE! He helps us to
understand that the world (satan) hated Him and because of
that, the world (satan) also hates
us. Here Jesus is saying to us;
don’t take it personal, there were
those who persecuted me, so
you can expect the same treatment. As sons and daughters of
God, we need to know that we
are seated in heavenly places
with Him. We should never
think, behave or respond from
a “planet level” position. There
is an enemy and he’s not walking around with red horns and a
pitchfork.

place in God and kill our witness
to the world. It’s a trick of the enemy! The Bible says that there is
nothing new under the sun; It’s a
new day but the same devil! Everything God has ever done for
us has come from His pure and
unconditional love for us. He
sacrificed His only Son to save
our lives and reconcile us back
to a relationship with Him. From
the moment God said, “Let there
be light”, He has been loving on
us, trying to get us to return to
that beautiful place we had with
Him in the garden. We don’t
have to wait until we get to heaven to experience that type of relationship with God. It’s available
to us now and the enemy knows
this! In like manner, we don’t
have to wait until we get to glory
to have a loving relationship with
our family, friends or loved ones.
We can make a choice to put on
the garment of LOVE and share
it with others. Jesus tells us that
love is the key that unlocks the
doors to forgiveness, jealousy,
envy, strife and most of all, hate.
It is God our Father that equips
us to love someone when we
have been wronged. It takes
spiritual maturity to do this. Are
you mature in your relationship
with God? Has God forgiven
you and loved you when you behaved out of character? Love is
a beautiful thing; it is an action,
an attitude, a state of being and
a lifestyle. You can’t manufacture love. It’s authenticated by
its Source and immediately exposed and recogn
