was immediate . The Spirit persuaded Tracie to attend church that specific Sunday to hear that specific message , and God ’ s providence brought her to the same church Dorothy attended . In the same way , what a glimpse of glory Dorothy experienced when she responded to the Spirit ’ s revelation and witnessed God ’ s perfect work in the midst of it all . In this situation , Tracie and Dorothy both responded in obedience , but could God have accomplished his purpose and will had they not ? Of course , but
as believers , be reminded that when the Spirit prompts or God reveals , he is entrusting us to do our part in a plan that stretches far beyond what we can see or understand in that moment . Just as God worked in the lives of Moses , Joseph , and so many others — his strength today , not our own , empowers us to respond and walk forward in faith and in concert with his will .
“ But he said to me , my grace is sufficient for you , for my power is made perfect in weakness ” 2nd
Corinthians 12:9 .
“ The Sovereign LORD is my strength ; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer , he enables me to tread on the heights ” Habakkuk 3:19 .
God may give us divine revelation to shepherd others who need his help or to strengthen our own faith and spiritual maturity . What he reveals , as well as his perfect timing and orchestration , often accomplishes both .
