enter the ministry if the pay
was better? Yes. My advice
for ministers is this:
“Build
your ministries as large as you
can.” Pastors and preachers
should be allowed to build their
ministries as large as possible
and get as much of God’s Word
into people’s hearts as possible.
I wouldn’t worry for one second
about what people might think as
long as ministers/preachers are
tithing and beyond, and doing
what they can to help the poor
get up on their feet, and that
they always remember to love
the Lord, first, so the Lord knows
their heart belongs to the Lord.
One final thought on this. I
Timothy 6:17 says this:
“Command those who are rich
in this present age not to be
haughty, nor to trust in their
riches but in the living God, who
gives us richly all things to enjoy.”
So much of what we have talked
about here can be summed
up in this one final scripture.
Never trust in your riches, as
riches disappear, and riches in
NO-WAY guarantee happiness.
(I should underline and bold print
that.) Trust God. Love Him with
all your heart and soul, and then
feel free to “enjoy” all the things
He richly blesses us with.
“Enjoy” your stuff, but LOVE
God.
You disclose that you have
felt and seen the presence
of God in your life.
Can
you describe the emotions
that
accompanied
those
experiences?
Have there
been other opportunities that
you have had to feel God’s
presence that you did not
mention in the book? Why do
you think that God chose to
reveal himself to you in those
ways? What would you say to
others who may be envious of
this type of contact that you
have had with our heavenly
Father? Do you feel it is
possible for all to have these
same experiences?
To be clear, I have never seen
God. I have however, felt His
presence. And on a couple of
these occasions the presence
was so significant it actually
felt like I was being “look
