Tutorial - Junk Journaling Paper is always something I have loved to work with and growing up in my father’s print shop may have something to do with it. In the print shop my father had a big cardboard box with scrap papers. He often caught me snitching papers for various craft projects! I still love to work with “scraps”. I like to figure out different ways to reuse things instead of just throwing them away. If you ask my husband he would probably tell you that I am a crazy scrap hoarder! I think he has a point but I prefer to see myself as a passionate crafter! A heap of scrap or a bundle of opportunity, it’s all in the eye of the beholder. A couple of years ago I started to save envelops and flyer’s that I got in my mailbox. I use them to make junk journals for my bible studies. Reused envelopes are very good for making prayer pockets and to store study notes! I also love to reuse old books, especially children’s books, as many of them are made of thick cardboard. In this tutorial I will share two ways to make a junk journal. One from scraps, using envelopes and flyer’s. The other one from a stripped book-cover and scrap papers that I have used as protective covering when painting or experimenting with different art techniques. 26 Faith Crafter Mars 2016 www.faithcrafter.com vimeo.com
