Action for Autism Gala Made a Splash !

On Saturday , April 23 , 2022 , The Faison Center welcomed over 300 guests to Make a Splash ! at the first in-person Action for Autism Gala since 2019 . Action for Autism 2022 was a highly-anticipated event , as it marked the first time in over a decade that The Faison Center ’ s signature event would return home to its Richmond campus . Guests were invited to experience the excitement of the expanded campus on a Richmond Trolley tour that stopped at the Outdoor Learning Center , Markel Hall , and the south wing of Kirshner-Mihaloff Hall . Specialty cocktails and small plates were enjoyed at each stop while guests learned from key staff members about how these spaces support and enhance Faison ’ s programs and all those we serve .
After the trolley rides and silent auction , the evening progressed into the Flo and Tony Guzman Community Center with a welcome from Faison CEO , Brian McCann , followed by a record-breaking Fund-A-Cause paddle raise for Pioneer Hall , our next new building , set to open in spring of 2023 . Each year , the Action for Autism Gala brings together friends and supporters to celebrate The Faison Center ’ s work with individuals on the autism spectrum . Thanks to all of those who attended and those who bid online , Make a Splash ! was the most successful Gala in Faison ’ s history !
