Action for Autism Gala Made a Splash!

On Saturday, April 23, 2022, The Faison Center welcomed over 300 guests to Make a Splash! at the first in-person Action for Autism Gala since 2019. Action for Autism 2022 was a highly-anticipated event, as it marked the first time in over a decade that The Faison Center’ s signature event would return home to its Richmond campus. Guests were invited to experience the excitement of the expanded campus on a Richmond Trolley tour that stopped at the Outdoor Learning Center, Markel Hall, and the south wing of Kirshner-Mihaloff Hall. Specialty cocktails and small plates were enjoyed at each stop while guests learned from key staff members about how these spaces support and enhance Faison’ s programs and all those we serve.
After the trolley rides and silent auction, the evening progressed into the Flo and Tony Guzman Community Center with a welcome from Faison CEO, Brian McCann, followed by a record-breaking Fund-A-Cause paddle raise for Pioneer Hall, our next new building, set to open in spring of 2023. Each year, the Action for Autism Gala brings together friends and supporters to celebrate The Faison Center’ s work with individuals on the autism spectrum. Thanks to all of those who attended and those who bid online, Make a Splash! was the most successful Gala in Faison’ s history!
