2020 Fair Dedication
We proudly dedicate the 2020 Pontotoc County
Free Fair to Wendell Wynn.
Wendall has been involved in the Pontotoc
County Free Fair for many years. Wendell grew
up in on his family’s farm near Ada where he
helped his family raise horses and cattle. Wendell
met his wife Kay in high school. Kay loved
to show animals, so in order to win her over, he
decided to help her with her showing projects.
Wendell has been apart of the livestock shows
ever since. Wendell and Kay’s two children,
William and Amy showed all through school.
There were times during the kids showing days
where Wendell would be so busy with his role as
Superintendent, he would even have time to help
the kids, so Kay would be sure the kid’s animals
were ready for the show ring.
After the kids graduated, Wendell still stayed
active in the livestock shows. He served as President
of the Pontotoc County Jr. Livestock Show
Board for many years and held the role of Beef
Superintendent for many years in both the fair
and the spring show.
Wendell holds a special place in his heart for
the kids of Pontotoc County and especially the
ones that have shown over the years.
Wendell is a graduate of Byng High School. In
