Eastern Florida State College Libraries partner with faculty to strengthen teaching, support student research, and advance the College ' s commitment to student success. We further the College ' s mission by providing high-quality academic resources, information literacy instruction, reference services, welcoming learning spaces, and diverse collections that empower students to succeed at EFSC and beyond.
Faculty collaboration is central to our work. We encourage all faculty to introduce students to library services early and include library information in Canvas and course materials. Updates: New Look for Fall 2026
The EFSC Library Catalog has a refreshed appearance, but its primary functions remain the same. The new version features a more accessible design that makes it easier to find and access library resources.
Services & Resources
• Collections: The library subscribes to more than 100 databases with access to journal articles, eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, handbooks, case studies, streaming videos, tutorials, and other scholarly periodicals. Thousands of physical items are available for check-out across the four campus libraries, and all items are available to faculty, students, and staff on every campus through our courier service. To access library resources online, visit the library catalog or the A-Z database list.
• Instruction: We provide information literacy sessions and single research skill-based sessions, in person and online, and work collaboratively with faculty to design library instruction that fits a specific course or assignment. We also teach the information literacy course Research Strategies. More information can be found on our Instruction webpage.
• Interlibrary Loan( ILL): Students, faculty, and staff have access to materials not available at the EFSC Libraries or any Florida college library through Interlibrary Loan. Use the ILL form or contact a campus librarian for help.
• Purchase Suggestions: The EFSC Libraries welcome suggestions for new materials. All suggestions are forwarded to the appropriate Library Liaison for consideration.
• Research Guides: Customized subject guides support teaching and research. Faculty can access discipline-specific databases, course reserves, and research support tools through the EFSC Research Guides webpage. We are happy to collaborate with you if you need a guide for your class.
• Reserves: Faculty may place library or personal materials on reserve for student use at any EFSC campus library by completing a Reserve Request form. More in-depth information is available on the Requesting Materials webpage.
