The L.A HEAT was created to give the best middle school players from the factory select, goon, and dragons program the opportunity to play on a super regional select team and compete against national and super regional programs from across the country.
At the high school level, the L.A HEAT will provide showcase and recruiting opportunities through the relationships of the Heat Directors.
In short, the LA Heat is an alliance of friends, peers, rivals and competitors all with the same goal… to provide the best lacrosse experience in Los Angeles. On top of offering camps and other training opportunities, the LA Heat will bi-annually assemble showcase teams from GOON, Factory, Dragons, Tribe, and SBLA. The Heat program directors will select the showcase teams before each event (one event in the fall and one in the summer)
The top 5% of LA lacrosse players will be chosen from the 3 Regional Select Programs to play in the top national recruiting events on the east coast (High School teams by grade) and competing against the top national clubs on the east coast (youth and middle school teams by grade) These teams will go to 1-3 tournaments per year.
