Founded in 2020 by Sonia Chaudhuri , an experienced educator with a master ’ s degree in Montessori education , Avalon Montessori quickly became a cherished educational institution in Nolensville , TN . Now , in partnership with Kam Sidhu , another dedicated mother and entrepreneur , they have expanded their vision to Montgomery with the opening of Avalon Montessori at Ray Thorington in the fall of 2023 .
At Avalon Montessori , they believe that all children thrive when their individuality is valued , and they are provided with support and opportunities to grow emotionally , socially , and creatively . With a focus on building upon each child ’ s strengths , the school ’ s progressive and holistic approach to education empowers children to explore their self-awareness and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them .
Following Dr . Maria Montessori ’ s teachings , their programs cater to each child ’ s needs , creating a safe and stimulating environment for children to mature and develop . Sonia and Kam bring together their unique strengths , skills , and experience to ensure that Avalon Montessori remains a center of excellence in early childhood education .
