University Gastroenterology and University Endoscopy Group represent the area ’ s largest and most specialized gastroenterology practice , providing quality care that is cutting-edge , comprehensive and compassionate .
University Gastroenterology is a twenty-four-member , single-specialty group providing patient-centered care for diseases of the liver and gastrointestinal tract . Our doctors are regionally recognized for their expertise in general gastroenterology , inflammatory bowel disease , liver disease and therapeutic endoscopy . By using a team-based approach , our Centers of Excellence in Liver , Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Advanced Endoscopy conduct groundbreaking research and offer clinical trials as well as specialized treatments . Our newly expanded Infusion Center offers GI and non-GI patients increased access to infusion therapies in a convenient , state-of-the-art environment , outside of a hospital setting . With major campuses in Providence , East Greenwich and Portsmouth , UGI offers convenient locations throughout the area , ensuring patients have access to immediate , professional , quality care close to home . Each location houses a state-of-the-art ambulatory Endoscopy Center that provides a caring and cost-effective environment . Our group also provides inpatient consultative services at Rhode Island Hospital , The Miriam Hospital , Kent Hospital , Newport Hospital and outpatient procedures at Roger Williams Medical Center .
