The Van Gogh Collection by Karndean
F
or centuries, wood has been the base material for furniture, cabinetry, flooring and other construction projects. Over time, natural wood undergoes a number of processes as it ages, and
following trends seen in fashion and interiors, product designers are now looking to introduce
these aging processes to new woods to give them a rustic, reclaimed and repurposed look. Following this trend, our new Van Gogh wood look planks replicate the unique look that comes from
this transformation of wood over time through burning, liming and smoking.
We are excited to announce the addition of 12 new planks to our pioneering Van Gogh collection this fall. Our expanded Van Gogh collection features designs inspired by salvaged and
reused woods — meticulously developed to suit today’s top trends.
The collection includes four lightly lime-washed oak looks, three designs inspired by American
redwood railroad ties, three rich, brown smoked designs, and two unique wire-brushed cypresseffect planks.
These floors have a story to tell. They bring character and a unique spirit to your home. Redwood railroad ties, seasoned from years of bolstering Californian tracks; oak casks, tinctured
from aging amber ales; or majestic Mexican cypress trees, painstakingly burnished to a rich,
sophisticated finish. These are just a few of the diverse designs available in the expanded Van
Gogh collection from Karndean Designflooring.
