Solution Dyeing
Solution dyeing is when colour is introduced in
pellet form before yarn is extruded.
It is used for synthetic yarns only and gives
extremely stable colour. The image below left
illustrates the pellet form of a synthetic thread
prior to extrusion, and the image below right
illustrates the extrusion process itself.
