Mimi Alemayehou

Elizabeth Nosizwe Vale

Elizabeth became president of the Student HIV/Aids Resistance Campaign and she co-founded the Gender Action Campaign. Among her work she also founded the Students in Solidarity with Abahlali base Mjondolo campaign and the My Body, My Choice campaign at Rhodes University.

Mimi Alemayehou was nominated by Barack Obama as the Executive Vice President of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation institution. She helps manage OPIC’s $16 billion war chest channeling American capital to fund investment opportunities in emerging markets. Prior to her OPIC appointment Mimi served as the Executive Director at the African Development Bank.
