Beyond
the Lens

The Reflection
She believed them. They told her that she was nobody
and she believed them. She accepted what others said at
face value because she no longer knew who she was. She
did not undertand the definition of love, beauty and virtue because they hid them from her. She had become as
a woman undone; a woman whose pieces were scattered
abroad; a woman who had no concept of what it meant to
be whole within.
