What got you first interested
in your industry?
I’ve been interested in music
since before I can remember.
In my youth, my mother and
father were heavily involved in
Chicago’s hip hop scene as well
as my father’s father being apart
of an original Chicago based
punk rock band called My Life
With the Thrill Kill Kult.
I mostly listened to what my
mother played; Lauryn Hill,
Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Eric
B. and Rakim, Billie Holiday,
Sade…you name it. I was also
raised by my grandmother,
who introduced me to sing-

From that point I naturally developed my own pallet, branching
out into singers that have become
