“ Alone , we can do so little . TOGETHER , we can do so much .”

The past few months have already found Marc and me in several states and a wide variety of landscapes : the arid desert at Merus Adventure Park , the full bloom spring of Georgia , and the windy coastline of Virginia .
In that time , we have seen so many of your smiling faces . From the casual meet-up in Amarillo to the high steaks ( pun intended ) of our BBQ cook-off at RecTeq Academy , we have loved putting faces to names and meeting so many fellow adventurers .
My latest adventure involved a final Parents ’ Weekend for our son Carson . Looking around the auditorium , I realized I wasn ’ t just looking at a sea of faces — I was looking at a community of people who all play a part in what makes his school so special . Teachers , counselors , parents , and students all come together to create something larger than the sum of its parts . I could feel the strong foundation of support , resources , connection , and knowledge . Community is the fabric of our experience . That thought filled me with gratitude for the people in the room . It also made me reflect on our own community at E3 Camping .
Creating a space to learn , grow , and connect has always been our vision , and that ’ s why the focus of this issue is Community . I think you ’ ll especially enjoy Todd Travers ’ s article , “ 20 + Years and Camping is Still All About the People ,” as well as Team Rubicon and the “ Remember When ” series .
On top of all that great content , Marc and I are still working on new ways to move from membership to connection . An upcoming survey is on its way out for your feedback . We have been busy brainstorming ways to connect members regionally through events and socials , but it ' s your perspective that we care about most . When you see that survey , we would greatly appreciate your taking the time to fill it out .
As you pore through these pages , we hope you can feel the different voices come through — from newbies to veterans , solo travelers to large families , part-timers to fulltimers . You are part of a strong , supportive community that spans this beautiful country , and Marc and I appreciate that you are here .
See you out there ! Marc & Tricia
