New for 2022 , Zion National Park now has a permit requirement for the Angel ’ s Landing hiking trail only . This is a lottery-style permit system and will be awarded “ seasonally ” ( this means it ’ s awarded about 60 days before it is valid ). The process is very detailed and includes requesting various dates and times that will work for your visit . You can request permits for a party of up to 6 people at once , and you will need the confirmation email to hike .
