Managing COSHH in your setting
Course overview
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn in an environment which is safe and secure. Our
nursery settings often contain hazardous substances and as Nursery Managers it is important that we
understand how harmful these substances are to children. To comply with the Control of
Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations, nursery settings must provide the means to
safely use, store and distribute substances that are hazardous to health.
This 3 hour CPD will support you to understand legislation relating to hazardous substances, the
policies and procedures necessary to ensuring a safe environment for children and the means to
create systems of control and management to help comply with COSHH regulations.
