• Toe-ga (good for strengthening toes and for concentration) – You will need a selection of different sized pom poms (age appropriate) and some small containers. Give each child a container and tip out all the pom poms into the middle of the floor. The children have to use their toes to pick up the pom poms and put them in their container. They keep going until all the pom poms have been collected. The winner is the one with the most pom poms in their bowl. • Bicycles - tell the children it’s a lovely sunny day, so let’s get on our bikes and go for a ride! Ask the children to lie on their back with their hands behind their head. Lift up both knees and cycle their legs round in time to the song as you sing. The routine of song helps the children to concentrate and means they remember the yoga postures. Roly poly up, up, up Roly Poly down, down, down, Roly poly ever so slowly Roly poly Roly poly quick quick quick! Row, row, row your boat – Ask the children to find a partner and to get into their boat by sitting up tall with their knees bent. Lift up one foot, two feet, one hand and the other hand making a boat pose and gently row back and forth as you sing together. Row row row your boat Gently down the stream Merrily merrily merrily merrily Life is but a dream!
