More Shakespeare Fun By Karen Burns SHAKESPEARE AS DRAMATIST (FS1 and FS2) It wouldn’t be Shakespeare week without some Drama! Freeze frames are a great way to make stories interactive, to ensure comprehension and to encourage group work. Why not read a story your children know well such as The Lion King, which is based on Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Split the children into small groups and ask each group to make a still image of the part of the story they like best. You can then go round and ask them what each person is doing in the frame to encourage discussion and understanding.
