Welcome to the January 2018 edition of ‘EYES on Early Years Magazine’.
2018 is a year of celebrations for us – not only are we
celebrating one year of this magazine being
published, but we also have a very big birthday this
year! Early Years Educational Services turns 10 years
old! What an achievement to have been successfully
operating in the UAE for ten years. From its humble
beginnings in Sarah’s living room to a Company that
has offices in Barsha Heights and Knowledge Park,
Dubai and Reem Island, Abu Dhabi.

We have enjoyed being at the forefront of Early
Years Education in the UAE over the last 10 years,
working with over 9,500 learners from 750 nurseries
and schools. Many learners have worked through
the different course levels and have become part of
the ‘EYES family’ over the years, making us the
success that we are today. We thank you all for your
support and we look forward to sharing the next 10
years with you.
You will see that over the coming months we will
have a number of events to share with you that will
celebrate our 10 years – starting with our ‘Top 10
CPDs’! We will be offering one of these each month
(excluding July and August), at the CPD price from

In this issue we look at the importance of role play in
the Early Years and some new and exciting things
that you can use when designing these spaces with
young children in mind.
January is often a time to reflect and identify what
your goals are for the future. Our article ‘Planning
Ahead’, provides guidance on what to consider
when creating your 5 Year Plan. We have also
