Feel the cold in ! i a b Du By: Ailsa Gordon I am always looking for new and interesting places to visit and explore in Dubai. I moved here from Scotland over 4.5 years ago so imagine my excitement when I found not only a new place to visit but a very cold one! Chillout Sub-zero Ice Lounge is located in the Times Square Centre, it is a small but very interesting attraction. When you arrive, you are clothed in a thermal jacket, gloves and a hat as well as snow boots to keep you warm. You are now ready to enter temperatures of minus 6 degrees. Inside there are a range of fascinating ice sculptures which include a camel, tropical fish and the Burj Khalifa. There is ice seating and tables, all illuminated by very unique coloured lights which highlight the sculptures’ true beauty. You can keep warm and cosy by sipping a mug of hot chocolate while admiring the fascinating sculptures all around you. This is a great day out for children and adults, some of whom may never have experienced such cold temperatures and ice before. Concepts such as weather, freezing and melting can be explored while enjoying this unique experience in hot and sunny Dubai. If you need a break from the heat this is definitely a fun and cold place to visit!
