Frames that ‘pop ’ By Denis Langlois When it comes to the term 3D eyewear, there are a few things that can come to mind. One is the relatively new technology that allows companies to create customizable, one-of-a-kind frames using state-of-the- art 3D printers. This type of eyewear is featured in this issue of EyeFocus magazine as well. But another thing that might come to mind is eyewear with features that “pop.” This can be achieved through interesting design elements, cool graphics and the creative use of shadows and colour. “3D effects” on frames can truly make eyewear stand out, generate interest and turn regular frames into a showpiece on someone’s face. 10 EYE FOCUS February Digital 2019
