Producers Corner : by Felton Langlois Recording Vocals Now that you have recorded your vocals, it's time to make sure those vocals sit good in the mix, you don't want your vocals, fighting to be heard. For example, if your track is bass heavy and you need those vocal tracks to cut through the mix...assign an EQ to the vocal tracks and reduce the low end in the vocal EQ. This allows the vocals to have their own place in the mix. You may think that adding mids and highs will solve your problem, but it can also add noise to your vocal tracks. By subtracting the low end, it will give you the same effect without the added hissing noise. Hope this was a helpful tip, keep recording.
