The Phix EXXPOSE: Why music? Why now? Gauge: Music is the only thing I can ever really say I've been interested in since a kid. I feel like I finally have a group of people who share the same passion for music that I do and are prepared to go all in. EXXPOSE: you had to prepare a speech for the BET Awards or Grammy's what would be the top 3 things you mention at this phase in your career? Gauge: I would definitely have to mention my family who assisted me with my start in music. I would most definitely thank God because without him I wouldn’t be here. And last but not least my brothers Jaron (Docta Jae), Derrick (Dutch), and Terez who pushed me to another level in my music career. EXXPOSE: How important is your swag as it related to you image? Gauge: I think it’s very important. People change their opinions of artists after seeing their performance and how they’re dress. EXXPOSE: Have you traveled throughout your music career? If so, where to? Where would you like to travel for upcoming targeted performances? Gauge: I actually started really pursuing my music career in California and would definitely love to go back there with The Phix to perform some of our new music. EXXPOSE: What is your take on fashion or swag in the music industry? Gauge: I think fashion is an alternate way for artists to express themselves. Sometimes it can be a little over the top, but I think it’s necessary. EXXPOSE: What is your opinion about the media and industry celebs personal life? Gauge: I think the media is a gift and a curse for everything related to the entertainment industry. It gives artists like us a chance to put our music out to millions, but takes away any personal life you have once you make it into the industry.
