Fit, Fabulous & In Her Forties
Brooke Burke
How Does She Do It?
by Priscila Martinez
A recent image of Brooke Burke beachside in a purple swimsuit almost broke
the internet. “Fine wine” was a common association one could find in the
hundreds of comments left by her fans. The lesson here, ladies and gentlemen,
is that when 47-year-old Brooke wears a bikini, the internet notices.
Most stars wouldn’t dream of divulging their fitness tricks,
leaving us mere mortals wondering about our own bodies
and secretly damning our genetic makeup. Not Brooke.
She works hard for her physique and doesn’t have an
issue sharing the ways she’s gotten her body to look great
and to perform at the level that it does. Brooke is also
working hard to impart those lessons to others, be it via
her fitness app, her transformational retreats or the daily
class she teaches in Malibu.
How does one get as toned as Brooke Burke? For starters,
consistency matters. “I aim to train six times a week,”
she divulges. Her daily fitness routine includes teaching
a class in Malibu called BootyBurn. This rhythmic, body
sculpting class is just one of the many tools in her arsenal.
Another source of sweat for the multi-hyphenate? “I’m
constantly producing new content for my fitness app,
Brooke Burke Body,” she admits. “I have designed bite-
size burns to target all of the trouble areas.” When fitness
was digitized, Brooke quickly realized that she could work
out with people around the globe. “I strongly believe in
community, which is a big part of the Brooke Burke Body
app. We support and inspire one another,” she says of
the app’s growing base. Another marked difference that
sets the app above its competitors is access to Brooke’s
years of expertise and hard work, so users don’t have
to experience a learning curve. “After two decades of
training, I have figured out how to carve, naturally sculpt
and transform the body,” she explains. “We all deserve
to step into our best selves and have positive body
confidence. I love teaching and connecting with women
in this important space,” she says. She is quick to note
that fitness has evolved and overhauled the way we
work out, “It’s more dynamic than ever,” she explains.
“Being able to knock out your fitness routine at home or
on the road makes body sculpting possible for anyone
anywhere. Time should no longer be an excuse.”
Staying fit in your forties isn’t always easy. “Mother
Nature seems to challenge women at different ages and
stages,” she admits. When she’s having trouble with
motivation, her favorite pick-me-up is sweat. “On the
days when you’re running low, fitness will reset you. The
adrenaline and dopamine that we get from a good work
out is a game changer. Especially on those days when we
need it most,” Brooke shares. “Fitness, for me, is a verb,”
she declares. “It’s an action and it’s a choice. We don’t
have time to not work out and take control of our health,”
she firmly states. She also experiences tangible ROI when
she sets aside time for breaking a sweat. “Living an active
lifestyle will create energy,” the mogul says.
