What's Not to Love About
Turmeric?

Historically, turmeric has been used in Asia for thousands of
years as a major part of Ayurvedic medicine to treat chronic
diseases and inflammation. It is one of the most highly revered
botanical ingredients used in natural medicine. The key active
constituents that give turmeric its color and health benefits are
called curcuminoids; the main one present in turmeric is called
curcumin, which comprises 70-80% of the total curcuminoids.
Curcumin is an active phenol compound known to provide
potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
Over 10,000 articles have been published supporting turmeric’s
health benefits; in short, turmeric works through its ability to reduce
inflammation in the digestive tract, and subsequently after the
curcuminoids have been absorbed into the blood stream, it reduces
inflammation throughout the entire body.
