Making a( Fashion) Statement in 2016
While Morgan has been recognized in the golf world since he qualified for his first professional major at the 2012 U. S. Open, these days he’ s turning heads by sporting jungle design, camo print and polka dot pants— all pieces from his new clothing line, Greyson Clothiers.
ast year, the Garden of Life ® brand ambassador teamed up with former Ralph Lauren designer Charlie Schaefer to create the apparel brand. A blend of high-fashion golf and fitness attire, Greyson made a splash at the PGA Merchandise Show in January and is scheduled to release its first collection this spring.
Aside from being one of the best-dressed golfers on Tour, we recently caught up with Morgan to hear about his progress in the gym with long-time trainer and Garden of Life fitness expert Don Saladino, his improvements on the golf course and his plans for 2016.
Extraordinary Health ™ Magazine:
With constant travel to golf tournaments, how do you keep up with your healthy lifestyle?
Morgan Hoffmann: I take Garden of Life products with me everywhere I go. When I travel, I try to book hotel rooms with a full kitchen, so I’ m able to prepare my own meals. I cook the night before a tournament and take a full meal with me on the course. Golf is a tedious game, and it can take up to five hours per round. My meal gives me the energy I need.
EHM: Now that’ s dedication! Speaking of Garden of Life, what are your go-to supplements?
MH: I take the mykind Organics men’ s multi and the Dr. Formulated Probiotics Once Daily Men’ s every morning. I love the Organic Plant Protein Smooth Vanilla. I take a scoop after every workout, and I take the individual packets everywhere with me!
EHM: You’ ve been training with fitness expert Don Saladino for over six years now. How does he keep you at your peak fitness level?
MH: He trains me as an athlete, not as a golfer. I think a lot of trainers on the PGA Tour are hesitant to train that way. I’ ve definitely reaped the benefits from it, from my life to my play on the golf course. It’ s been fun and rewarding.
EHM: What’ s your main focus in 2016?
MH: Every year I want to get better. From workouts, to golf, to eating, to sleeping— I want to get better. My main goal in 2016 is to have a positive mindset and to stay happy. I have a great plan for this year, and I think if I execute it with a good attitude, I’ ll see great results.
