sleep finds me quickly , and I sleep very soundly . I ’ ve also always felt like I don ’ t require a lot of sleep . Maybe from working night shift for several years . I feel pretty good with five hours , but lately I ’ ve been reading quite a bit about sleep and what your body needs to accomplish during those hours , and I ’ m trying to get more . We ’ ve just moved into our new house , so that ’ s proving to be a difficult task . So much to do !
Do you have any current fitness goals ?
I ’ m not super goal-oriented , as in having events or competitions that I ’ m planning for . If one pops up that sounds fun , I ’ ll do it . My goals look more like “ did I perform that better than my last attempt ?” I like having a fitness log book to keep track of progress . Every day , I try to be better than yesterday . That ’ s with every aspect of my life . There ’ s always room for improvement and growth whether it be in the gym , at work or in relationships .
What advice do you have for others ?
Get moving ! I think the start line is the biggest obstacle people face . People tell me they want to come workout but need to get in shape first , or don ’ t have the time or money . Investing in your health and wellbeing is priceless . Starting next week or next month turns into years of inactivity . When you move your body and stretch and pull those muscles , you feel good . Feeling good is addictive ! I find that when my body feels strong , my mind follows .
