AFTER TWO AND A HALF YEARS in business
at the Underground Station in New Albany, The
Olivet is on the move.
“We are expanding, we’re growing and we are
moving to a larger location at 137 E. Market St,”
said owner Crystal Goebel.
The newly-designed gourmet boutique will
be located across the street from The Grand and
right next to True North in suite 103.
“We have lots of new products coming,” said
Goebel, who has established a reputation as the

locally-owned place to purchase premium extra
virgin olive oils hand-selected from California
groves; aged balsamic vinegars; gourmet foods;
handmade chocolates, truffles and candies; unique
gifts; custom gift baskets; and partake in tastings,
both private and on a walk-in basis.
But that’s not all.
The Olivet will also offer up an exquisite
experience unlike any other in the region (hint:
chocolate lovers will rejoice). Keep an eye on the
shop’s social media for sneak peeks and delicious
details. Additionally, patrons will be invited to
enjoy tastings, interactive demonstrations and
seasonal events. And, Goebel has hand-selected
a luxe line of premium, olive oil-based face and
body products that will retail at the shop.
The public is invited to the ribbon cutting,
which will occur at 11 a.m. Oct. 19. Prior to that,
Goebel will appear on WHAS11’s “Great Day
Live!” beginning at 10 a.m.
“We are so grateful to the community’s support
over these last two and a half years,” said Goebel, “and
can’t wait to share more about our exciting news.”
