“Since becoming a partner with Rodefer Moss in 1985, I have had
the pleasure of working with many great individuals. I believe our
employees take to heart our firm’s philosophy of ‘Listening better,
trying harder and caring more’, not only in the work they do for
our clients, but also in giving back to our community. We have
made the “list” of Louisville Business First’s “Partners in Philan-
thropy” for the past six years. It makes me extremely proud of
who we are and what we have accomplished.”
Joe Brown, Partner.
Joe was admitted to the partnership is 1985.
“I opened my first accounting office on July 1, 1967 with my wife
Joyce, as my secretary. My intention at the time was to provide
accounting services for just a couple of years, then head to law
school. A mutual friend of Ed Endres and myself introduced the
two of us and in 1969, we joined forces. Soon after, Tom Tucker
came on board and it was the beginning of a phenomenal journey
that none of us could have imagined. I feel blessed that I was
surrounded with exceptional people who provided our clients with
extraordinary services, and grateful for the opportunity to see the
firm continuing to grow after all these years.”
Norman Melhiser
“In the time I’ve been with the firm, there have been many changes
that I’ve enjoyed watching. New employees, partners, and new
office locations to name a few. In our profession, we are constantly
adapting to compliance and tax changes. Understanding these
changes and helping clients understand how they may be affected,
is only a part of the equation; using a proactive approach and get-
ting ahead in the planning process, is the other. Being proactive can
make all the difference in helping a client reach their financial goals.”
Marc McCormick, Partner.
Marc McCormick became partner in 1986.
“We realize every client situation is different and comes with its
own complexities. That’s what makes the work fascinating. That’s
when we put our knowledge and experience to work. I’ve enjoyed
watching the firm recreate itself over and over by adding new
services, team members, and affiliates as deemed necessary to
accommodate our clients’ needs. The entrepreneurial leadership
of our firm allows us to respond quickly to make changes in
existing services, or by adding new services and procedures
we see needed to improve our clients accounting needs.”
doug York, President.
“There have been many changes since Ed, Norman and I formed
our partnership. We built a strong firm based on integrity and the
needs of our clients. As our reputation grew, so did our client base
and staff. I am proud of the firm that exists today and that I had a
small part in laying the foundation.”
