Amanda faced personal and medical crises, Amie
offered what she knew best – a shoulder to lean
on and a makeover for her friend.
“I started to lose my hair from an autoimmune
disease I have, and the hair extensions Amie gave
me were life-changing,” Amanda said. “It gave me
back confidence. I was dealing with some family
stuff and my health and it was wearing on me. The
extensions made me feel pretty again and gave
me confidence, sassiness and a part of me that
had been lost in life.”
The makeover came with sound advice between
friends. “We talked a lot about building confidence
in all areas, in life and business, and just hearing
someone you trust tell you that you can do
whatever you want helps set healthy boundaries,”
explained Amanda.
It was a two-way street for Amie, who added,
“All that advice I gave just bounces back to me,
and then I have to listen to my own words and
apply it to my own life. We help each other. I’ve

watched her grow into a vibrant woman, friend
and business owner.”
As the two grow their respective businesses,
they also tend to the needs of their extended
families, their clients – both canine and human
– and their community. Their friendship, ability
to laugh about the foibles of business and life,
and their infectious enthusiasm open doors and
propel them toward a successful future, separately
and together. Totally Clips Pet Salon
“When you feel good about yourself, the little
things don’t matter as much,” said Amanda. “I
feel like I can handle anything, even when my
customers – the dogs – bark or growl or poop
on me.” 1521 Blackiston Mill Road
Amie laughed at her friend’s candid observation.
“Well, I can say I’ve never had one of my clients
bite me or poop on me – yet. Life is good.”
And, when life is shared with the bond of close
friends, anything is possible.
