Lincoln Amphitheatre Seeking Volunteers

The Lincoln Amphitheatre is seeking volunteers for its 2018 performance series . Roles and responsibilities could vary from show to show , but primary areas the venue needs assistance are as ticket scanners and ushers . For their efforts , selected volunteers will receive a Lincoln Amphitheatre staff shirt , as well as free and discounted ticketing opportunities to all 2018 performances .

The 2018 Lincoln Amphitheatre performance series will feature performances by classic rockers The Guess Who (“ American Woman ,” “ Share the Land ,” “ No Sugar Tonight ”), Grammy-winning country and bluegrass music icon Marty Stuart and the mighty Max Weinberg ( a member of Bruce Springsteen ’ s E Street Band and longtime bandleader on Late Night with Conan O ’ Brien ). Louisville Zoo Hosts Party for the Planet

The Louisville Zoo is throwing its annual bash for the Earth : Party for the Planet : A Month-Long Celebration of the Earth , powered by Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company . The month of April will feature special activities including zoo keeper presentations , a regional art contest for students , $ 8.25 admission on April 29 and conservationminded events every weekend .
“ While celebrating the Earth is the focus of the event , one of the most wonderful things about it is the awareness it instills in our community and its children ,” said LG & E and KU Director of Corporate Responsibility and Community Affairs Angie Evans . “ Teaching them from a young age to respect our planet and habits that help to preserve it is a good reminder for us all .”
